I saw this film over 20 years ago and been trying to hunt it down with no luck... the only thing I can remember was towards the end of the film there was a fight between the protagonist in a human like mech fighting a scorpion mech that was like a transport vehicle... these were large scale mechs and from memory would be pre 1990 in release. It was a live action movie and not 100% I think was desert style setting in the scene.
It was a sci-fi film but the limited memory is bugging me to locate it.
