David Fincher's breakthrough film, Seven, has always had a special place in my film-loving heart. I love the exquisite attention to detail, the engrossing score by Howard Shore, and of course the reveal of the killer in Act III. What I've always noticed, but never connected until now though, is that the City (unnamed) is in constant downpour rain right up until John Doe surrenders. This has to be a cinematic cue that HIS killing has come to an end.
