Just me being curious. The last few superhero-movies I watched on big screen were just tiring to me. I loved the first Marvel-flicks and got super-hyped with the avengers, but now I feel completely overfed.
Nothing seems to be at stake any more. They all do the same - get beaten up, become stronger somehow or find their strength again, defeat the bad guy. The movies all feel so short. The second act comes to an end and I still feel like I just sat down in the audience because nothing that happened so far seemed to have any significance or weight to it.
The single redeeming factor for me are the actors and characters that I grew to love. But everything around it has become so ... bland. Thats why I loved CA: Civil War. The main focus were the characters, their decisions and the next steps they would take, not the shooting and punching or any kind of global threat that needed to be defeated. I go to the theatre and leave it tired and bored, when a few years ago, these movies would fill me with excitement and my mind with new ideas and stories.
How about you guys? Do you experience the same? Any idea what might change that? Because while bored with the concept, I still want to see the characters and their stories. But its just not worth my money anymore.
