I'm talking about something like 22 Jump Street, where Schmidt and Jenko visit the incarcerated bad guys from the first film, get a little comic relief, and in doing so, are given a lead that helps them move toward their goal.
It's a kind of scene we've seen a million times, and which I like, but when I try to think of others, I'm at a loss. The only thing I can think of is Clarice's meetings with Lector in TSOTL, but these are repeated scenes, rather than just one.
In comedy films, I assume they're usually done by actors doing cameos, for added effect, but I'm sure there are others that I'm just not thinking of. Was hoping other people here could help out.
