I just saw this headline on NBC News. It's very strange because the headline implies the exact opposite of what the article says.
The headline makes it seem like the new Star Wars film is not meeting expectations or performing poorly at the box office, but the article says it had one of the best openings ever and is on track to perform very well.
I know that reporters generally half to be truthful in the content of their articles, but it seems like editors have a bit more leeway when it comes to headlines. Since a lot of people only read headlines and not the whole article, it seems like this is a deliberate attempt to mislead people about the box office sales of the movie.
Question is, why would Comcast/NBCUniversal do this?
