I actually really loved this film but I understand why a lot didn't. With that being said, I thought it would be nice to list up the things being referenced in this film. Major spoiler ahead and if I miss anything, feel free to add to it. I'm sorting these events in the same progression they were shown in the film.
The Big Bang.
Eden.
The Garden of Eden.
Adam and Eve and the Sacred Apple.
Cain and Abel.
Mankind.
The Great Flood.
The Hebrew Bible.
The many prophets described in various religions.
The emergence of different religions other than Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
The alternation of religious scriptures.
Wars throughout the ages. There were some religious wars, world wars, and riots portrayed across the years.
The discovery of oil.
Nuclear wars.
And the film ends on the message that mankind will be the destruction of earth by harvesting all of that nuclear power.
All in all, this is probably one of the weirdest films I've ever seen to be honest, but history has always been a fun subject to me so watching this film and connecting it with dots from our shared history was something fun and made me enjoy it.
