I just watched Lone Survivor. It was pretty good, not great, but it was very obvious what a good director he is. Battleship, which should have been the worst movie ever, was actually not too bad either, with the final action sequence being one of the best ones I've ever seen.
But he keeps making these superficial movies with many of the same actors and he doesn't get very good performances out of them. His upcoming Mile 22 sounds interesting but it's got Mark Wahlberg in it. Again.
So, Dear Peter Berg: I've had my eye on you since you played Dr. Kronk on Chicago Hope. If you could up your game, that would be great.
