this movie...ha!
In the coastal town of Los Angeles, a gang of bank robbers call themselves the ex-presidents. commit their crimes while wearing masks of ex-presidents Reagan, Carter, Nixon and Johnson. The F.B.I. believes that the members of the gang could be surfers and send young agent Johnny Utah (Keanu Reeves) undercover at the beach to mix with the surfers and gather information. Utah meets surfer Bodhi and gets drawn into the lifestyle of his new friend.
thats the set up, but the movie itself is filled with so much absurd bullshit. LIke for instance Utah (Keanu) goes to a random beach to learn to surf for the first time and the very first person he fucking meets just happens to be the girlfriend of the bank robber he is after! well golly gee..how convenient for everyone! lol!
also someone jumps out of an airplane with no parachute..cause thats a thing you do! so much cliche and tropes.
but you know what?? who cares!!
this movie is nothing but rock solid action, great buddy cop banter, and Patrick Swayze in his most mystical and beautiful role.
Gary Busey is awesome as always, and John C. McGinley (scrubs) is his usual kick ass self.
Its just all around fun and non stop action and adventure.
Get stoned and see this movie, you wont regret it.
