My aunt and I are discussing this. Please include 3 criteria that support your answer. Here's mine:
I originally felt that it was Simon Pegg's cricket bat in Shaun of the Dead. After considering it though, the pool cue he uses in the bar is slightly Superior. And here are the reasons why:
First a pool cue is an iconic bar fight melee weapon. What better way to judge the merit of a melee weapon then during a bar fight?
Second, it has proven its musical prowess by keeping rhythm to Don't Stop Me Now by Queen. Freddie Mercury's vocals combined with the dull thud of a hard swing is magical.
Lastly, it comes in many different sizes making it a fitting weapon for nearly everyone. Jackie Chan uses one in rush hour. Heath Ledger breaks one in half as the Joker to determine which of two gang members he wouldn't kill. Finally, Steven Segal wields one in Out for Justice. I feel that versatility is important.
