Bad Movies by another metric -- What's the worst movie an A-Lister has been in?

If you're a bad movie afficinado, there are a few that huddle near the top of the all-time list... The Room has been all the talk recently, and of course Troll 2, and Manos the Hands of Fate must enter into any tit-for-tat comparison.

These films are known for their directors being so out of touch as to create these symphonies of errors... typically good talent would know how to avoid such a debacle?

So that begs the question, if you discount "who knows how these even got made" films, what are the worst movies that looked promising enough at one time to attract a name actor?

The example I'll bring to the table is 1982's Bloodtide. 3.7/10 on IMDB, 2.2/5 on Rotten Tomatoes, and starring none other than the venerable James Earl Jones, who at that time had already won a Tony and a Golden Globe, and had been nominated for an Academy Award.

The movie is hard to watch. Jones' respectable delivery contrasts wildly with the actors around him who are struggling to achieve caricature, let alone character. It's not been remastered, so it's hard to tell whether the dim lighting and poor framing has to do with that or if it was not filmed properly to begin with. Just a real dud of a movie.

I'm interested in finding out more about why this movie got made, and how it came to be. But I'm even MORE interested in your suggestions... what tops this?

What's the worst movie with an A-list actor?
