Choose a number that is divisible by 3. Take a third of that number. Take half of that third and add it to the original third. You should get half the original number every time.

Example: 30. A third of it is 10. Dividing the 10 in half and adding it to the original 10 gives us 15. Half of 30.

It works with any number divisible by 3.
