So over the Christmas period, I started rewatching the Harry Potter films which is up there in my favourite film franchises. I gotta say, though it might seem unpopular, these films are great examples of action/adventures as well as fantasy. Yes, some of them are cheesy or the actors were too young to act properly (AKA first 2) but overall, the whole series created a narrative from start to finish with great characters and cinematography throughout. Furthermore, the variety that the different composers in the series' soundtrack really improved the experience when watching and it immersed you in this beautiful magical world.
They might not be the 'best' films of all time but you can't resist just enjoying yourself and going on this journey once more with these lovable characters and beautiful atmosphere. My favourite is either Goblet of Fire or Deathly Hallows Part 1 which both are very different but had great filmmakers behind it that made it truly wonderful. The whole series is just up there with LOTR and POTC IMO.
