I was just saying that I had never seen Raiders of the Lost Ark or Temple of Doom in completion to someone when I asked them to recommend some movies. They never even thought it possible for someone not to have seen these movies. I had a VHS copy of the Last Crusade and a couple Young Indiana Jones movies but since stuff like that was a real treat for me growing up I didn't have much selection. Most of the time buying or going to the movies was seen as too much money for the amount of time spent or used. Saying that $10-$20 is worth more than an hour or two.
Anyway nowadays I still don't see a lot of movies unless they're streamable but definitely more than in my childhood. I just didn't want to miss any good movies that people wouldn't think to recommend since they would have assumed I've seen it already. For instance I have never seen The Room and my SO was absolutely appalled so we're watching it tonight.
