I've asked the question at /r/Zootopia and they had some interesting answers but I want to know what you guys think. It just seems odd to me, it was the 2nd highest grossing WDAS flick, with the highest grossing opening weekend in history yet, 2 years later, while it has its fandom, you don't really see it mentioned along the classics or even alongside Frozen, instead it was just as popular as your average modern WDAS flicks (e.g. has its fans but it's not universally beloved or anything). Do you guys have any idea of what stopped it from being as popular as the Renaissance films?
Also, despite making less, why is it that I see more people talking about Moana and it seems to have become more popular than Zootopia, despite the fact that the latter made more money and won more awards?
