[Serious] How do people like Wes Anderson movies?

They're so weird, long, boring, slow developing, and oddly symmetric. I recently watched "Grand Budapest Hotel" and I figured it would be good since it was nominated for Best Film. Critics said it was funny. NOPE. Audiences loved it. I DIDN'T. Just because his scripts involve big words, doesn't mean it's eloquent. I don't see the appeal to his film style.
