I've been enjoying going to the movie theatre less and less lately. Be it the need to arrive very early to get good seats (unless there is reserved seating), long concession lines for insanely overpriced snacks, the nearly 25-30 minute previews, uncomfortable seats, inconsiderate talkers during the film.
I also find that when I see a movie that doesn't necessarily benefit from the big screen and loud sound system (eg. Bad Moms, The Night Before, The Internship etc.) I would have preferred to watch it in the comfort of my own home. Movies that obviously benefit from the movie theatre (Star Wars, Marvel movies etc.), I really enjoy seeing on a big screen.
Should I bother going to the theatre if the movie will be just as good from my couch?
