Every now and then, we get people posting that they wish x movie doesn't get made, or that the studio should stop making movies for y franchise, or they're glad that z movie is taken off a studio's slate. This happens often with Marvel, Fast and Furious, and Transformers movies. For a recent example, people seem to be relieved - even rejoicing - at the idea that Transformers 6 was recently taken off Paramount's production slate, and they're getting lots of upvotes for it.
The thing is, why do people care if these movies are getting made if, by their disdainful attitudes towards them, they don't plan on watching them?
If you don't like the idea of a movie, don't watch it. Problem solved. The studios and filmmakers aren't making audiences watch their movies.
You don't like MCU movies? Don't watch them.
A Transformers movie is getting made, and you don't like the idea of it? Don't watch it.
Fast and Furious is coming up, and you didn't like the last one? Don't watch it.
