I don't watch movies often. I'm not a critic. I'm not a graphic designer. I don't even know much of anything about art.
But I was scouting out movies playing in the nearby theatre when I noticed nearly every poster just triggered something negative in my brain. I don't know why, but they did, which is weird because the marketing teams are supposed to have millions of dollars to make me happy. However, they come up with reliably bad, generic movie posters that all look alike. For example, the highest grossing MCU film's poster (Black Panther) is ugly as sin.
Does anyone else feel this way?
