Seeing Annihilation in theaters only reminded me of why I hate watching movies in theaters.

It's been almost 6 months since I have actually went to a theater to see a movie but I was really interested in seeing Annihilation. The movie itself was great and I really enjoyed it but boy oh boy do I hate crowds. It wasn't packed but there was a decent amount of people and I tried to sit away from the majority of people. I ended up having a few teenagers in the same row and it absolutely ruined the experience. There was laughing, talking, texting, and kissing. It really takes me out of the moment when these kinds of people feel the need for a group discussion every ten minutes. Maybe I'm just ranting at this point but this experience just reminded me why I had been avoiding seeing a movie in theaters. Does anyone else seem to always have the same kind of issues?
