Don’t listen to the negative reviews; I loved it. Yes, it’s nothing like the first one, but I’m happy it isn’t a rinse and repeat. The first is a throwback to 70s films, and this one is pretty much a full-on 80s slasher sequel, and unapologetically so. I don’t understand the gripes with the acting in some reviews...it was fine. It could’ve used a bit more character building and they really do make some dumb choices, but it was a damn fun time and I’m definitely seeing it again. Just like the first though, Pin-Up Girl is very underused with Burlap Sack and Dollface taking the lead. And yeah, the reviews aren’t kidding when they rave over the pool scene.
