Call me a millennial, but I just find it extremely difficult to just sit down and enjoy a movie if my body's not doing anything else while it's playing. My brain needs to multitask otherwise my mind starts to wander. This is one of the reasons I prefer binging a Netflix series at home. I can keep my body preoccupied with some brain numbing activity while my mind can enjoy the film.
That being said I understand the annoyance of someone taking out their smartphone during a movie. I guess my question is, if I sit in the back of a theater and cover up the screen, is it an acceptable practice to pull out my electronic device?
