For those who don't know, Psychokinesis was released on Netflix today and is directed by Sang-ho Yeon (Train to Busan). It is about a man suddenly acquiring supernatural powers.
Seeing as there aren't any discussion posts, I was wondering what you all thought of the movie. Going in, I was anticipating its release as Train to Busan surprised me tremendously and ended up in my top 5 of that year. I thought this movie was great, albeit not as good as Train to Busan. There is a lot of comedy and silliness but with enough heart to balance out the movie. The plot wasn't the most original but the action was exciting and well shot, and the special effects were good overall. Only a few scenes looked a bit off near the end but I was impressed with what they achieved. The characters were also well rounded and helped elevate the movie. There were also a few notable tracks which fit well with the more emotional scenes. Overall quite enjoyed Psychokinesis and definitely recommend watching it if you liked Train to Busan.
What are your thoughts?
