I’m sorry if this discussion has been done to death in the years since the movie came out, but could it actually be fair to say that Leon Vitali (as himself) is Red Cloak? He played the man behind the mask, but the newspaper clipping mentions this woman being involved in somehow with Leon Vitali. Could it really just be him? I know the pool table scene is a mimic of the ritual one but could that also be interpreted as Tom Cruise receiving ‘finality’ in both situations, he isn’t going any further in either situation. Good parallel. But could Red Cloak really be Vitali?
