Heather O'Rourke (Poltergeist) - 1975-1988. I grew up watching the Poltergeist films and for years I was curious to know what ever happened to Heather O'Rourke. It took reading Premiere to find out she died at 12 years old of cardiac arrest and septic shock.
Christopher Pettiet (Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead) - 1976-2000. Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead was one of my favorite films as a child. I even remembered Christopher Pettiet as Zach, the middle son who was constantly trying to win the love of his crush. Interesting enough he also did Seaquest DSV with another actor who also tragically died young, Jonathan Brandis from The Neverending Story II: The Next Chapter and It (TV).
Adrienne Shelly (Waitress) - 1966-2006. I had just seen Waitress starring Keri Russell and her, a film she directed, when I decided to google on her and I was amazed to know she didn't just die young, she was killed by a construction worker. Reading about the case made my skin crawl. To happen right when her career was on an upswing was terrible. The world lost a promising director and a terrific actress. I binged on her work with Hal Hartley and the more I saw, the sadder I got.
