Ok, so I think it should be fairly easy for someone to make a website that does one thing, but one thing well.
A movie website, basically a database of movies. Instead of reviews & scores, the focus would be on where you can stream the movie.
It would work like this: log in, create profile. I subscribe to us Netflix, amazon prime in us, I have cable in region x from provider y, etc. Hulu, whatever other crappy streaming services are out there.
Next, you search for a movie. It tells you what service you already have where you can watch the movie. It doesn’t lie to you and tell you it’s on amazon, but it’s not free.
Don’t they all have open api’s for this? I think it would be fairly easy.
Monetization: at least as much data as Movieline collects. Plus, if you look for a movie you can’t stream, it could then tell you where it’s available, or have a link to pay for it on amazon.
