What is your honest opinion on The Dark Knight Trilogy

What is your real honest opinion on these movies. I think they’re overrated. They didn’t do Batman Justice and The Theme Of The Dark Knight rises that anyone could be Batman is just stupid.

Batman Begins was pretty cool. That movie felt like Batman to me. Gotham City had atmosphere to it. It felt like Gotham. It had some pretty great music. It did the villains correctly. But then the next two just didn’t do Batman Justice at all.

The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight rises just took away everything that’s loved about Batman. Gotham City isn’t Gotham. It’s Chicago. It has no atmosphere or unique or gothic look to it. You want to see Gotham Done right in live action then look at the tv show Gotham. The Atmosphere Of Batman And His City is just gone in these movies. This city doesn’t convince me that it’s full of crime and corruption. It looks perfectly fine and normal to me. Why is Batman Needed. The Dark Knight barely showed the corruption it was talking about. It didn’t convince you that it was corrupted. It has no style to it. The cinematography of The Dark Knight and Rises are also Bland. There’s no shots that make it shout BATMAN to you. None at all. Except maybe a couple.

My next problem with the Movies is that Batman is not done justice. He’s a terrible fighter, he’s not a detective, none of his villains exist so how is this the Bat Verse. He has no robins or sidekicks. He's Got No Bat Gadgets, Hes Pretty weak. The fight choreography is pretty bad. It looked so fake in TDKR. Batman had a great voice though. But The Dark Knight isn’t even about Batman. He’s not even a stand out. The Movie is about Harvey Dent and The Joker. This isn’t A Batman Movie. The Joker And Two Face outshine Batman. Joker isn’t done accurately either. The Point Of The Joker is that he shows that any one could become insane with just one bad day. The Joker here doesn’t have his one bad day philosophy or origin or red hood origin or his crazy love/hate Psychotic relationship with Batman. Where’s his obsession with making people laugh, where’s his deadly gadgets, He’s got no Harley Quinn. He’s Just an insane guy in clown makeup that likes chaos. He’s not The True Joker. Heath Ledger was great and the best thing about the movie besides the music. But I don’t think him or Batman were done justice. Why don’t Batmans Villains like Mr Freeze, The Riddler, Hush, Posion Ivy exist? Why would you take all of these great villains away from Batman. You realize he’s a superhero. He shouldn’t be put in a realistic world. He doesn’t fit it. Batmans Atmosphere, Villains, Detective Traits all ripped away. Batman isn’t Relaistic. His villains aren’t realistic. The Dark Knight Trilogy aren’t good Batman Movies. They are good movies outside of Batman. But they aren’t good Batman Movies.

Two Face is built up throughout the movie and is then killed off after an hour of being Two Face. We only see about 10 minutes of him and then Batman murders him. Are you Serious. Two Face should have been the main villain of TDKR instead. He was Wasted. They also barely showed the two sides of two Face. So how is this two Face. Just because he has half a face and a coin. Bane, The Joker, Two Face And Catwoman are done incorrectly in this Trilogy. The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight rises aren’t Batman Movies. TDK is a Movie about The Joker and Harvey Dent And TDKR is about Bane and Talia Al Ghul. Batman barley ever shows up in TDKR. He has maybe 4-5 scenes in the entire movie. Batman and His World And Villains are done wrong in this trilogy. Also why does he have Rachel as A Love Intrest. No. He shouldn’t have a love intrest except Catwoman and even that was done poorly. These movies also failed to show the dual personality of Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Now let’s move on to The Dark Knight Rises. A Batman Movie with Barely any Batman. Not only is The Theme that Any One could be Batman Stupid, But Bane isn’t a good villain, Talia just came out of nowhere for some reason. Batman being crippled serves no real purpose. The Philsophy Of anyone could be Batman Is Just dumb. Unless you’re really rich and have years of training and martial arts, you won’t be Batman. Why does John Blake Exist. Why couldn’t they have done Dick Grayson or Tim Drake. The movie also has plot holes. The Fight Choreography is Bad. Gotham City is no longer a character, it’s just a place that this stuff happens in. Batmans barely in the movie. The whole John Blane storyline is just dumb. Nolan could have gave us the dark tragic backstory of a robin and instead gave us John Blake.

The things I like about The Trilogy are Batmans Voice, Heath Ledger, The Beautiful soundtrack that’s one of the best in cinema and superhero movies, Batman Begins Portrayal Of Gotham City. I guess the movies have tension to them. The Crime And Corruption aspect of The Dark Knight was interesting. I like the gritty and dark tone of the trilogy.

To sum up everything I think is wrong with The Dark Knight trilogy.

-Gotham City has no Character. No atmosphere. Nothing to make you think it’s Gotham Or that it’s infested with Crime and Corruption. It doesn’t feel or look like Gotham City would look like. It’s Just Chicago.

-Batman is done poorly. The Dark Knight and TDKR aren’t Batman Movies. Batmans not a detective, They don’t show much of the dual personality of Bruce Wayne and Batman, he’s not a scientist, Batman's a pretty bad fighter, He doesn’t have his gadgets, no Psychotic relationship with The Joker. He’s barley in The Dark Knight Rises. The Batcave is done wrong. His Villains Dont Exist, The Joker And Two Face outshine him in TDK. And The Idea that anyone could be Batman is stupid imo. Nolan’s Batman Should have been similar to Arkham Batman.

-The Villains are done very poorly. Bane is just a strong guy in a mask with a weird voice. He doesn’t even have venom and I don’t think Banes connected to the league of shadows in the comics. He shouldn’t be called Bane. Talia Al Ghul comes out of nowhere. She’s not very interesting or memorable either. The Joker Doesn’t have his one bad day origin/philosophy, No Crazy Obession with Batman Or making people laugh, no Harley Quinn, No Gadgets, He’s not very insane. He’s a guy in clown make up that likes chaos and anarchy. Two Face is wasted and killed 8 minuets after he’s introduced. He also doesn’t have the dual personality shown like Two Face shows with his light and dark side. Scarecrow is overshadowed by Ras Al Ghul and barley shows up in the trilogy after BB. Catwoman isn’t done correctly. None of these villains have any connection or traits of their comic counterparts. None of Batmans Other great villains like The Riddler, Mr Freeze, Hush, Man Bat, Poision Ivy, Hugo Strange, The Court Of Owls exist. The villains except Heath Ledger And Liam Neeson are done horribly. The Joker’s plan is pretty convoluted.

  • Characters like Commissioner Gordon, Alfred and Robin are done poorly. Gordon isn’t a very good or smart police officer or detective. John Blake Shouldn’t exist and should have been Jason Todd or Dock Grayson instead. Jim Gordon is pretty Boring. Alfred is just a nagging old man and not the loving father figure like he is to Bruce Wayne.

-The Cinematography is a little bland.

  • Batman Being Put into a realistic is an interesting idea but it doesn’t work very well because you just take away everything great about Batman and put him in our world instead of his own unique world. Plus he isn’t Very Realistic at all. The Movies are a bit boring sometimes.

That is my overall thoughts on The Dark Knight trilogy, while they are good movies and I think Batman Begins is the best one, they aren’t good Batman Movies and I don’t think they deserve all of the praise that they usually get.

-The Movies have some plot holes and some things that make no sense. How do people not realize that Bruce is Batman. Brcue dissapeared And arrived at the same time Batman Did. Bruce dissapeared again at the same time Batman did in TDKR and yet no one makes the connection. Some how Gordon doesn’t either.

On one note. This Trilogy has one of the greatest soundtracks I’ve ever heard in cinema. It’s just so memorable and catchy and dark and thrilling and Batman Like. I love it. One more thing. While yes it’s an different take on the Batman Mythos, I don’t think it’s a worthy one. Maybe I’m wrong about some of this stuff and you can correct me.
