In the movie every person has people with a countdown to their death digitally displayed on their arm (visible to everyone). If your time runs out, then your heart immediately stops. Time is simultaneously a currency and a method of population control.
considering this, once your time ran out and your heart stoped what could paramedics do, would paramedics even exist in this universe and if your dead couldn't i just transfer you some time so you can live again?
