I have an idea for a change to Best Picture Race and let me know what you think: Have one of the spots automatically go to the movie that earns the most money domestically. That way that movie is celebrated and the movie goers are not being forgotten about. You would still have 9 movies that are chosen by the academy. One goal of a movie is to make money. If there is nobody to pay for a movie, there would be no movies.
I think for the 2019 Oscars, if this happened, the movie represented would be Avengers Infinity War
