I read the review of every movie that I intend to watch that was made before Ebert died, because of his insight and my awareness of his history of reviews and his general preferences for actors (Nic Cage) I was easily able to understand if I liked the movie and would usually get good info about movies, even if I disagreed with Ebert.
I have not found anybody who comes close to being as solid a reviewer as him. Is there any critic that might be a solid alternative to Ebert?
