Some movies like Nightcrawler, Zodiac, even Blade Runner 2049, and many more, but my mind can't come up with any more examples...
To elaborate, Nightcrawler's "setting"/"story" is mostly set/done at night, Zodiac is mostly night-time, Blade Runner 2049 has some good night time scenes, and the protagonist/main character are doing things, alone. And I like the "loneliness vibe" that features in these movies.
I am certain my new favorite genre is this... "nighttime", "night-themed", or "night-heavy" movies. It just feels cozy, and I get a cozy feeling watching these movies at night, like drinking hot chocolate near a fireplace when watching these movies at night.
TL;DR, any movie that is heavily based at night (ex: Zodiac,* good soundtrack ties well with the "night-time shots". Blade Runner 2049, protagonist/main character is off doing things alone, very lonely. Nightc*rawler, like a combination of the two movies) and mainly has the protagonist on his own doing "lonely things" sounds weird *but eh-, like trying to solve the Zodiac case, etc. Thanks for the time.
EDIT: Stranger Things, when their out at night is pretty "chi-lax" the modern times impersonating the 80's also gives a really awesome effect.
