Everyone loves a movie about an underdog sports team that goes on to dramatically beat the odds and win the championship. Some movies play with the format by having the underdogs reach the championship and then lose anyway. Are there any movies about a great team that's expected to win?
The only story I can think of like this is a Simpsons episode, Homer at the Bat, where Mr. Burns hires 9 professional baseball players to play against Shelbyville's softball team. The tension comes from a series of calamities that prevent most of Burns' baseball stars from being able to play in the game.
