Did Christopher Nolan include William Fichtner (the bank manager who has the smoke grenade in his mouth) during the bank heist scene in The Dark Knight as an homage to Heat?

The influence that the film Heat had on The Dark Knight is readily obvious. I’m curious if Nolan included Mr. Fichtner as a subtle homage during a scene that was ripped (quite successfully) straight from the aforementioned film. Is there any direct statement that was the case? Or just an Easter egg to find?
