I recently rewatched the 1988 remake of THE BLOB, and I got a movie idea from this particular scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRo5suPV4R0
So I thought: what if you took that scene and basically built an original sci-fi horror film from it? A revenge film about a young woman who is murdered by her boyfriend. Her body is exposed to a bizarre substance from a meteor à la The Blob and she is 'resurrected' as an unstoppable shapeshifting gelatinous mass that seeks revenge on her killer and his accomplices on the local football team, hunting them down one by one and absorbing them. She uses her original human form as a lure to entice them. Meanwhile the local police can't figure out what is happening to these guys, as there aren't any bodies left behind, only viscous remains. The town sheriff is trying to piece the whole thing together and find out what's going on. On the end, after consuming her psycho boyfriend, she leaves the town to use her “power” to get back at all the murderers in the world, becoming a sort of anti-heroine.
It would be an unusual Sci-Fi/Horror film, like a cross between Ms. 45 and The Blob with a little bit of Death Wish mixed in. The look and feel of it would be an homage to 1980's Sci-Fi and Horror films.
