Adding up all the rumors and confirmed news about Matt Reeves upcoming The Batman film, I think it would be set in the late 90s, Bruce just returned from his Nanda Parbat training and dons his cape, gets to know about a old secret organization Court of Owls , and teams up with young Jim Gordon to unravel the mystery, with a side story of Penguin being a rising crime boss. According to many sources, it would be based on Batman Year One with Harvey Dent showing up, may feature Court of Owls and Penguin. DC needs to confirm some of the rumors, until then this might be the plot of the upcoming Batman film.
