Alright so I’m a fan of the predator and avp universes and in a nutshell the ending of the new predator bummed me out. It was good up until that point. What disappointed me was that the item from the rogue predator was a mech suit? What? The whole time I was waiting for it to be a xenomorph or a xenomorph egg. In my opinion it would have led to a more interesting storyline. Picture this. They open up the casing and an alien egg pops out of the hole, the face-hugger jumps onto the scientist at the end and credits role. This would’ve been a more interesting ending because the roles of “good” and “bad” predator characters would’ve switched, the rogue would’ve actually been trying to exterminate humanity and the upgraded would’ve been trying to save humanity. Obviously they would’ve had to rework the reason for the upgraded predator hunting down the humans but it wouldn’t have been much of a sacrifice I think. This proposed alternate ending containing a xenomorph could’ve segwayed this movie into the next to be another avp. The corporation that is seen opening the box in the end scene could grow into the future wayland corporation and successfully there would be a merging of the predator and alien movies. I think it would’ve been a much better ending, thoughts?
