He's not a good actor. He's average at best and is very wooden and void of emotion.
His Superman, while badly written, failed also due to him.
When you think of the life, depth and gravitas Reeve brought to the role and how passive Cavill was...It's night and day.
Then I see this dumb article of how cavill was scientifically engineered to play superman and it does not require great acting range? Really?!!! Is that the new standard?
I just want to hear from others because I think he gets a pass because of his looks and how nice he is apparently. Which for me is bull because it should be about talent.
James Cameron may be tough to work with and not the nicest guy, but he is a great director and that's all that matters.
Cavill has been the worst Superman I've seen. At least Routh looked like and tried to mimic the best Superman...
