There's a saying going that movie trailers should be avoided since they give too much information about the movie and at sometimes spoil it. I believe there's truth to it yet it's not the whole truth.
Like the title mentions since I adopted the "No Trailer Policy" I've watched significantly less movie, looked forward to less and in general my love for movies dimmed down. Not watching trailers makes me feel like I'm missing out on movies, movies that I would watch if I've seen the trailer.
I believe there's an equilibrium in a sense that if I'm sure I'm going to watch a movie I'd try not to learn to much about it and come with low expectations, but for movies that I'm not sure or don't know trailers are the best way to find out if they're worthwhile or not. (of course review scores are important too but I'm talking about upcoming movies).
All in all I want to say that I'm opting out of the "No Trailer Policy" and will start watching trailers to bring me more excitement and hype around movies.
TL:DR Not watching trailers kinda suck, and maybe there's place to reconsider.
