The reason people always used rolled up newspapers to swat flys is that they are perfect for it. They are soft and won’t damage things. Yet, they are firm enough to keep shape midswing and they are hard enough to kill. Lightweight and aerodynamic as well. There is nothing like the rolled newspaper.
