The Eminem vs MGK beef is the greatest setup for a Carnage post credits reveal that no one is noticing until now. (TL:DR shitpost and crackpot theories leads OP to believe a Carnage reveal post credits on the movie “Venom”)
Eminem released the song “Venom” which will feature in the motion picture, in the first half of the hook Em says “Knock, Knock let the devil in”.
In this Eminem (actually Slim Shady) is stating that he has been dealing with the suit (the devil) and let the suit be in control of him further referenced in the lyrics “Eddie Brock is you and I’m the suit, so call me- (venom)”
As we all know Eminem has gone his whole career with a much darker alter ego (slim shady) slim is a malevolent entity that lacks all emotion and morals, and will do anything to accomplish his goals. Slim twists and turns morals to meet his own ends, even if the suits host Eddie Brock (Marshall Mathers) has any moral objections the suit usually gets what it wants, yet Eddie(Marshall) is always conflicted always, fighting to do good with the suit, the suit can never fully bond with Eddie, much like Marshall never fully bonds with Slim Shady. Venom refers to itself as “We” hence, “We are Venom”
Now after Kamikaze’s release Machine Gun Kelly reacted with a song called “Rap Devil”
If we remember the earlier call out “Knock, Knock let the devil in”.
In this case, MGK is the devil in question, now if you are unfamiliar with Spiderman/Venom lore the symbiote produces asexually and the first offspring that it produced was the “Carnage” symbiote. This symbiote bonded with Cletus Cassidy an individual who has absolutely no good in him, no conflicting personality. He bonds completely with the suit, directly into his bloodstream, since he and the suit always have the same goal (to kill and cause carnage) and with no moral compass to conflict with the suit bonds completely with Cletus evident with the fact that he refers to himself as “I” instead of “we”.
MGK proclaims himself as the rap devil, acknowledges through tweets and interviews that he was the rap offspring of Eminem (Venom) “When your idols become your rivals” and that he has come to proclaim the throne for himself using force if necessary “text me the addy, im pullin’ up scrappin”.
Throughout the Rap Devil video MGK is seen throwing up the horns, signifying that Richard Colson Baker is gone and only the Devil remains (Carnage) “F*ck the Rap God, I’m the Rap Devil” and his goal is to kill Eminem (Venom).
This is further solidified in Eminem’s response “Killshot”
In the comics Venom feels he is responsible for his offspring’s actions and works to stop them. His offspring attacks him and Venom is taken aback by there power, thinking they are beneath him, but Carnage manages to hurt (graze) him Eminem’s verse: “Say you got me in a scope, but you grazed me”.
In Killshot he also shows his duality through pitch changes and referencing both Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers (Eminem), He shows that him and the suit are working together to end MGK but he doesn’t need to totally bond with it because even though it can be tiresome “exhausting letting off on my offspring” he doesn’t to be at full power to end MGK (Carnage).
Just like in the comics when Venom defeated carnage while still retaining his duality, he didn’t need to let the suit fully takeover.
There are obvious whole here, I used an amalgam of each Eddie Brock Venom from multiple era’s and if we take today’s Venom into account he pretty much curb stomps Carnage, Mac Gargan (Scorpion) has the symbiote now and just on power level it is currently Class 60 vs Carnage Class 50.
Venom also has the ability to absorb his offspring and increase his power level think of this just absorbing the people he calls out in The Fall “I inspired the Hopsins, the Logics, The Coles (J Cole) , The Seans (Big Sean), The K-Dots (Kendrick Lamar), The 5’9”s (Royce Da 5’ 9”)
It could be argued that Kendrick Lamar has the potential to become Toxin (Strongest Symbiote feared by both Carnage and Venom)
Interesting if we get some sort of separation anxiety like crossover with Spider-Man (Joyner Lucas) joining the fray, that remains to be seen.
