I kinda went down the rabbit hole of books I’ve enjoyed, and the ones that have been turned into movies. 9/10 times they seem to fall flat on their face.
Is it the movie studios they don’t take it seriously enough to make a good movie? Could it be the directors.
The only two recent series that I can think that have been critically and financially successful is Harry Potter and The Hunger Games. Even then HG started to taper off at the end.
