So everyone inherits 50% maternal DNA and 50% paternal DNA. However, you aren't necessarily one quarter of each of your grandparents since the chromosomes your parents give you are by random chance.
For example, the chromosomes that your mother gives you are a mix of her maternal and paternal chromosomes, but because of meiosis, it's a random assortment, so it could be around half and half of each grandparent or at the extreme it could be mostly the chromosomes of one grandparent. In any case, most people are slightly more related to one grandparent over the other on both their maternal and paternal lines.
