I was only about 13 when the Barbra Streisand Kris Kristofferson version of A Star is Born was released and was never really interested in watching it. I've always wanted to see what it was about, but never enough to go to the library and get a copy. Today I went to the movie theater and watched the 2018 version of A Star is Born and was absolutely floored. It was such a phenomenal movie. I hope it wins an Oscar. That gave me the push to watch the 1976 version which I did on Prime Amazon video.
There was no comparison! KK's voice was terrible and I didn't see one bit of chemistry between KK and Streisand. Her clothing choices were not flattering at all. If you haven't seen the 2018 version, I highly recommend you do.
