What are your opinions on the 2011 Joe Wright film, Hanna? I really like the movie. Great performances all around, but particularly from Saorise Ronin, Cate Blanchett, and I liked that random British girl she became friends with. Yeah, the movie gets a little hokey at times, but there is some seriously stylish editing and cinematography going on. Some of the shots are composed so beautifully. The action scenes are dope in my opinion. The slow motion fight at the end by the Ferris wheel, merry-go-round thing was a little meh, but the rest are sweet. Lots of long takes. Yeah the plot about her being a super soldier created in a lab is a little derivative, but I liked it. One may make the argument that the coming of age story doesn’t fit within the action/thriller story. Do the two tones clash? For me they work and I really enjoy this movie. Hanna is a badass and the music is cool and the visual style is sweet. What are your opinions on the movie?
