It doesn't take the gift of foresight to know that if they study art, philosophy or gender studies that they will not be able to use that degree to earn a livable income, let alone paying off their student loans. These people then have the audacity to complain about what they've done to themselves and make outrageous claims that it shouldn't have cost them anything to access these services.
I myself am saving up money so I can get education to make video games. I am well aware that I will not make very much money if any, and I'm prepared to work a job on the side/live frugally to make ends meet. I understand pursuing a dream. But there is no point in getting student loans for a degree in a field you won't be able to work in because you'll be too busy paying student loans.
