The anime is about a girl who is chosen to meet the new king following his fathers death along a number of other girls in the kingdom. He is being hunted by his stepmothers assassins so she can put her own son on the throne. She later poisons herself along with her son. He marries the girl in the end but his kingdom falls and he kills himself in the barn. The girl then leaves with the survivors with the knowledge that shes pregnant. It was made in the 70's or 80's. It looked like a studio ghibli film and others misattributed it to Studio Ghibli but wasnt actually. I found it originality on Youtube but i think it was removed.
