Just watched Sleepless in Seattle for the first time since being a kid who wasn’t old enough to understand anything from the movie. As an adult, the movie was pretty creepy. I’m sure people will say it’s just being romantic and a movie about fate. However, in actuality the movie is about an engaged woman in Baltimore who becomes obsessed with another man on the opposite side of the country from his calls into a radio show. Ostensibly, she develops seriously questionable and abnormal tendencies including lying to her fiancé to fly across the country, stalking Tom Hanks and his son while they go boating, and then standing in the middle of the street and almost being hit by traffic while being memorized by him. The movie is creepy.
