I just saw the film and throughout, all I could think of was how much it it resembled Gogol's Dead Souls. I think it's his most genuine film yet, something that attempts to deliver Truth, more so than his other films that is. The Dante trip at the end, the self reflection that included snippets of his own films, and the question of art and artist's intent. Any thoughts?
