Godzilla: King of the Monsters After 2014 Godzilla and last year Kong I am more excited about this than anything 2019 has to offer. The two trailers has been fantastic with beautiful character posters. And the scale of this movie looks bigger than any other Godzilla movie of the past. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godzilla:_King_of_the_Monsters_(2019_film)
Pokemon: Detective Pikachu. I was skeptical about this but the trailer won me over. Looks fantastic. And judging by the trailer views(48M+ in 48 hours) people do seem to like it. Overall looks fun with a new take on a buddy movies and I am all for it.
How to train your Dragon 3. Some people love Toy Story, some Shrek, for me it's How to train your Dragon franchise. Visually stunning with great self contained stories. Btw, Roger deakins is also a visual consultant in the franchise. So next time you see a beautiful shot, you know now.
Ad Astra. I adore outer space sci fi movies. Watched all of them in existence. And this one looks like another one of those. "A man journeys across a lawless solar system to find his missing father -- a renegade scientist who poses a threat to humanity." That's an automatic buy for me.
The Kitchen/ Joker. Both these could either be great or a dud. Both are based off of DC comics characters. I won't say they look promising but they certainly look different from regular comic book adaptations. Joker might be rated r on top of that. All in all I am excited to see what the final result is. They are taking big risks and it's always great to see how it plays out.
So, these are my top 5(or 6). What's yours?
