Now that I’m in the post, I’m gonna go full spoilers and say that opening was easily the most disturbing and unsettling things I’ve ever seen.
Maybe because I’m the exact age of Celeste and remember columbine vividly, but the scene truly upset me in a way that way more traditionally violent scenes in other movies never did.
I think the decision to time hop and not show overt violence somehow made it much, much worse.
