I don't know what political context you are in your country, but as from my experience (Brazil) I really don't have any faith in democracy. Don't think I defend any authoritarian shit, its just that I think democracy is an authoritarian system in disguise. If you think about it, only rich people has real power, they can buy votes not by their proposals but by their money, so we live in a system where wealthy people make the decisions and get away with corruption, of course there are a few good people, but soon they are excluded by any political choice if they really want something that will damage the elite. So, yes, everybody has the right to vote but does it really matter??
